Health/Physical EducationPhysical Education classes are planned to give students a chance to relax and enjoy exercising with their classmates in a setting that fosters fitness, fun and a variety of skill building activities.Students should dress comfortably for Physical Education class. Dresses, tight fitting jeans and jewelry should not be worn on P.E. days. Safe sneakers are important to wear so Mary Janes, crocs, boots, sandals and slip-ons are not allowed to be worn during P.E. classes. Sneakers need to fit snugly with velcro or with laces tied in double knots.For grades K-5, a health class lesson will be held once every other six day cycle. Students need to be prepared to move during both Health and P.E. classes so sneakers and comfortable clothing should be worn on these days as well.Note: Please have your student leave a pair of sneakers at school if you think they may have trouble remembering them for P.E. days. This is especially important during those months when many students wear sandals or boots to school!
