Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Student Support

The Clinton-Glen Gardner School District is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-to-one nursing care and support for a student with special needs during the school day. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the school nurse, administrators, teachers, related service providers, and the student's family to ensure the student's health, safety, and access to education.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized nursing care to a student with special needs in accordance with the student's healthcare plan and the physician's orders.
• Monitor the student's medical condition and respond appropriately to health needs throughout the school day.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and authorized.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Communicate effectively with the school nurse, staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Assist the student in safely participating in academic and school-related activities.
• Follow all district policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations regarding student health services.
• Qualifications:
• Current New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Required New Jersey certification for school employment.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience working with children and/or individuals with special needs is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.

Requirements:

• Valid New Jersey LPN license.

• Required New Jersey certification.

• Criminal history background check and all pre-employment requirements as required by New Jersey law.
