    February Happenings

     

    We will be celebrating Valentine's Day in our class on Wednesday, February 14th.  If your child would like to distribute cards, a class list has been sent home.  Of course, this is an optional activity.

     

    Our Ellis Island field trip is being planned for Friday, March 23, 2018.  Thank you so much for all of the interest in joining us.  Permission slips and additional information will be coming home soon.

     

     

     

    Upcoming units of study include:

    • Math- Fractions
    • Language Arts- We have kicked off our Immigration Unit with the novel, The Orphan of Ellis Island

    Students have been asked to bring in a smock (old shirt, t-shirt) to be kept in school and used in art class.

    As important information becomes available I will post it on this page. Daily homework will be posted on the homework page.  Nightly homework will consist of reading, math, and spelling.

    A couple of reminders:
    • There will be time provided each morning for a healthy snack
    •  Of course we celebrate birthdays in 4th grade!  If your child would like to bring a birthday treat for the class, please just let me know. There are 26 students in my class.  Please remember we are a "NUT FREE" classroom.
    • If your child is planning to go home with a friend or if there is a change in the dismissal procedure, please send a note detailing the information or call the main office.
