Discipline Policy

If inappropriate behavior persists, a discussion about the behavior will occur with the child and the parent/guardian. Serious infractions of the program’s rules—such as those that compromise the safety of any child, undermine the authority of staff, or involve excessive behaviors that disrupt the program—will result in a written or verbal incident report and may lead to a temporary or permanent suspension from Child Care. If such behavior becomes chronic, the Child Care Director will discuss alternate solutions if appropriate with the parent/guardian to determine the child’s continued participation in the program. Repeated incidents or failure to demonstrate improvement following interventions may result in permanent removal from the program.
