A special thank you to our Superb Saxes for bringing some holiday cheer to our staff breakfast Friday morning! 
On September 16, our pep band made their debut at the first Pep Rally of the year.  
Sunday, October 16, our 7/8 band performed The Star Spangled Banner at a ceremony honoring the town of Clinton for being named one of the best towns in New Jersey!  The ceremony was held on the patio of the Art Museum.  Congressman Lance was there and spoke to our band students about when he lived in Glen Gardner.  
Our Jazz Band, comprised of students in grades 6-8 performed "Themes From Harry Potter" and "James Bond Theme" at our annual Halloween parade on October 31.  

Overview of the Music Program at Clinton Public
We have three music teachers at our school. Mrs. Ruch teaches general music and conducts all of our vocal ensembles. Mrs. Blickenderfer conducts the orchestra and teaches all the string instruments. Mrs. Evans conducts the bands and teaches 7th and 8th grade general music.

General Music
Grades K-4 meet with Mrs. Ruch once every six days for 40 minutes.
Grades 5-6 meet every day for one marking period with Mrs. Ruch.

Grades 7-8 meet every day for one trimester alternating between Mrs. Ruch and Mrs. Evans.

Orchestra is available to students in grades 3-8. Each student meets with Mrs. Blickenderfer once each week in small groups on a pull-out rotation schedule.
