Honeywell Instant Alert

 

Dear Parents / Guardians,

 

Keeping our families immediately informed helps to assure student safety and improve communication.  This is why CPS school utilizes Honeywell Instant Alert for Schools.

Within minutes of an emergency, school officials can deliver a single, clear message providing you with information.  Honeywell will be used to notify you of a school closing due to inclement weather.  It is an equally effective way to keep you informed of everyday activities, such as event times and locations as well as schedule changes.

With Honeywell, you decide how you want to receive notifications and what kind of notification you want to receive. You can receive alerts by phone, email and text message and can even choose what times of the day you would like to be notified by phone. You can also elect to receive alerts regarding school closings, information of high importance information, transportation, activities and/or general school announcements. The type of alerts you receive can be different for each communication method. These choices can be made by logging in to your profile and changing your preferences.

Maintaining the accuracy of your profile will increase the ability of the school to keep you informed. You can even choose to add grandparents, childcare providers or emergency contacts so that they will also receive information.

Please know that the Honeywell Instant Alert System will not share any of your information. This is an effective way for CPS to quickly communicate with you regarding emergencies, events and school closings.
